Hi Gavin,
do you get any error logs (hs_err____.log fies) or dump files (.dmp)? If you are crashing at startup, perhaps not. There are a few things you can try in between
- a fresh workspace (again maybe not possible)
- run the vcredist*.exe package in the ccs folders to see if restoring the visual c redistributable does the trick. The update could well have changed something there
