Dear Actually, we are using lead ferrous phosphate batteries. So is there any way out we can predict the charge for such batteries using your solution for the same. If it can not be done what will be the advantages with us for using series cell type batteries in this. I can't figure out the exact way to what type of batteries should I go with..

Part Number: TIDA-010015 Hi All, How to reduce the ripple content in TIDA-010015 based design .We have about 2V peak to peak voltage ripple at full load. What is the acceptable range of ripple in power supply. Please advise here .

Hello Allen, Negative voltage clamping at input and output purely depends on impedance's of pulse generator and Input impedance of TIDA-01167 and its output impedance. As mentioned in user guide, ISO7637-2 Pulse 1 is applied on passive board with out any load. 1) Negative voltage at Input of TIDA-01167: With out load of TIDA-01167, ISO7637-2 pulse 1 goes to -150V. With Impedance of TIDA-01167 same pulse is clamped at input to -22V(D1 clamp). 2) Negative Voltage at output of TIDA-01167: TIDA-01167 has inbuilt reverse polarity protection. ISO7637-2 pulse 1 is tested under no load conditions,Due to parasitic s under no load conditions output voltage is seen dropping to -3.25V in figure 27. But it is quite sure behavior of circuit will be different in loading conditions. Most of your understandings are correct, circuit has been built to protect from transients mentioned in user guide. Thanks Regards Rama

The project you are attempting to build is dependent on another project. In many cases example projects for SimpleLink are split into 2 projects. The first project is for the application and the second project is for the kernel (RTOS). When importing examples from Resource Explorer the dependent project is typically automatically imported to your workspace. Is this the example you are importing? Did you import using Resource Explorer or via Import CCS Projects wizard? If using the wizard you need to check the box to import dependent projects. Typically we recommend using Resource Explorer. After importing this project via Resource Explorer I see both the application project and the kernel project in my workspace. Note that freeRTOS examples require you to have freeRTOS installed on your computer and there is a variable you have to set that specifies where freeRTOS is installed. There is information on this in the SDK users' guide http://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=AAUqzB01wxAVRsvB.bphoA__z-lQYNj__LATEST Regards, John

Hi Leo, 1. The controller should work on open loop condition with COMP pin connected to voltage source directly. 2. I think SS pin does not mattter, because COMP is controlled by external voltage source. In simulation you can place a cap between SS and GND. 3. If COMP is driven by external voltage source, it is fine to short COMP pin and FB. The reason I suggested to use voltage source to drive COMP is for debugging purpose. We need to figure out if the issue from controller or from external circuit. Thanks Qian

Hello
I own 2 versions of Code Composer Studio, ver. 5.5.0.00077 and ver. 6.1.1.00022. I run the same program on each Code Composer Studio and on one version of CCS the IDE (debug) can see global variables (Ver. 5.5.0.00077), however, on the other version the CCS IDE (debug) cannot see global variables.
Are you rebuilding the program each time? If so, please try just talking the program built in CCSv5.5 and directly loading it to CCSv6.1.1
Can anyone help me understand why the IDE is not seeing global variables when I use the debug "expressions" window? Note: The compiler optimization is set to zero on CCS ver. 6.1.1.00022.
Note that "zero" still has register level optimization. You need to select the "off" option to completely disable optimization. Thanks ki

Hi, I am still baffled by the absence of the serial ports.
One thing that I noticed (which might be from the clock speed issue) is that when uploading with Uniflash 5.0.0, it works fine. I upgraded to Uniflash 5.1.0 to match CCS 9.1 (because of the bootloader) and I noticed that I get that 6311 error which can't write the register.
PRSC Error 6311 is usually due to a cJTAG and JTAG mismatch. Your target configuration probably is set to 4-wire JTAG (IEEE1149.1) while the target wants to communcate in cJTAG (IEEE1149.7). This is reported in the Debugging JTAG page below (search for the error number): https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccs_debugging_jtag_connectivity_issues.html Hope this helps, Rafael

Hi Joe, I exported TINA-TI design for WEBENCH default condition [TPS61046 - Vin=1.8-4.5V, Vout=12V, Iout=0.05A]. Please find exported TINA-TI design below for your reference. /cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/234/webench_5F00_design_5F00_5197183_5F00_6307.tsc Please find the steps below to simulate the exported TINA-TI design Please find below snapshot of the results FYR. Regarding your query on accessing models in TINA, Yes,constructing an example design first is the only way to access device models. Kindly let us know in case you have any further queries. Divyanshu, I assume you mean lithium ferrous phospate (instead of lead)? For LiFePO2 cells, the reference designs I listed will work. However, this would not be the right solution for lead-acid batteries. For lead-acid, you would want to look at the BQ34Z100-G1 or the BQ34110. I'm sorry, I cannot help to select the best battery type for your application since I am not familiar with your system. Different battery chemistries have different advantages. This web site is a great resource for learning about different battery types and topologies: https://batteryuniversity.com/index.php/learn/ Best regards, Matt

I try to install the CCs3.3 on another computer ( XP) and on virtual machine ( VM ) + XP + service pack 3 on it. But, in all those cases the message error 1334 is return . See at: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CCStudio_FAQ#Q:_I_get_installation_errors_when_I_try_to_install_CCS_or_install_a_CCS_Service_Release._How_can_I_get_it_to_install_properly.3F Error 1334 ": This error occurs occasionally when installing on a Windows machine with the language set for something other than English. The issue doesn't occur for all non-English languages, but just a small handful. A workaround is to set the Windows language to English for the duration of the installation (and switch back when the installation is complete)." So, I install on VM +XP+SP 3 , the english edition only. But the error message is still return. Have any one have idea, what is wrong? Regards. Asher.
