a simple question,but too hard!!!
Hi Britt
I have imported the macro file but fail to simulate even a simple circuit due to convergence problems. (Please visit the site to view this file)
Not sure wether import into TINA-TI is the problem or the model itself.

Silvio
Hello Britt-san,
Thank you for your reply.
Please let me known the schedule that you will post TINA-TI Model and Reference Design in the TI product folder.
Best Regards.
Hi All,
I'm trying to build VoLib components in CCS 4 and getting into some issues.
1. I get an error saying managed makefile doesn't exist.
2. If I ignore and continue, I can load the out file and execute but I cannot change any settings by editing the code.
It says source not found.
3. If I create a new project adding all the source files, I'm getting into many other errors.
Please help.
Hi,
In Anthony Seely's previous post at http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/hercules/f/312/p/354371/1247802.aspx#1247802 he informs how to configure the gmake parallel build option. I tried this but ran into problems with dependancies on the pre-build batch file and makefile.target operations I perform, which Anthony suggests I post on this forum.
My problem is as follows:
I run a pre-build batch file and also have a makefile.targets defined, both of which prepare inputs necessary for my build, and they must complete prior to any compilation.
With build parallelism configured, the natural flow and dependencies are disrupted, and the compilation zooms off in parallel to the pre-build and makefile.targets.
Am I able to force the compilation stage to hold off until both pre-build and makefile.targets are complete?
I am using CCS 5.3.0.00090 and CGT 5.0.1
Regards, Tony.
Hi AartiG,
Sorry for the belated response...
Yes, I am using parallel builds.
The thing is, some of my colleagues are still using CCS 3.3 to work on legacy projects of more less the same size, and although CCS 5.5 by far outperforms CCS 3.3 in terms of overall build time from scratch (a clean build), CCS 5.5 is actually slower for incremental builds. This makes development quite a pain since I have to wait a couple of minutes to build the project, even-though I only changed a single line of code in one of the files in the main project. Fortunately it is not as bad for the static libraries, which are dependent projects.
I have tried command line building, but its a bit inconvenient for debugging compiler issues.
Is there anything else I can try?
Hi Kevin-san,
Thank you for your kind support!
Iunderstood. thank you very much.

Thanks George. I have moved this .ebss section to other bigger data memory and I have seen a file with a huge length. Now, I know in which file I have the problem but this file doesn’t use any of the 4000 defines I have included…
What I have seen is that this file with the problem includes one header file which includes the header file with all this defines. If I delete this last include I solve the problem but I don’t know why....
With this, I have the problem: With this, I don’t have the problem:
Thanks,
Nerea
Hi
I included all required files and have rebuild the program but am getting the same error.
the ".out" file is not getting generated when i build my program
Hi patrick,
Thank you, but late reply.... i already solved my problem.. yes we need to select scatter plot & it is possible to connect the dots with the line....
now i am in a position to plot the graph w.r.t x-y.
Thank you very much....
Brief update here: I tried putting some breakpoints in other places that would only get invoked in the IDLE state, and none of them function either. Is it possible that some bug in my code would actually disable breakpoint halts in the processor? That seems very unlikely, but I don't have any explanation for how my code can be definitely entering areas with breakpoints without stopping on them.
Bhimesh,
I've seen this error happen due to a corruption or a wrong file being used to load the symbols; in this case, would you mind checking section 11 of the page below that contains some details about the u-boot debugging process?
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Sitara_Linux_Training:_uboot_linux_debug_with_ccsv5
Unfortunately I don't recall other scenarios where this issue happens, but I will check and reply back if I can find anything.
Hope this helps,
Rafael
Berlin,
You will need to follow the instructions in the following post:
http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/webench_design_center/f/234/t/36943.aspx
If you have a direct TI sales contact, you may also request an unencrypted model through that contact. Please remember that in some cases, an NDA may be required in order to obtain the unencrypted model.
Britt
Silvio,
I will take a look at the circuit. I, too, am not sure if the model or TINA-TI is the issue at this point. I'll post back to this thread when I get more information.
Britt
Greg,
Sorry for the late reply. I have been on vacation for a couple of weeks. There were some issues with queue priority and some other tasks, but I believe that the model has been completed and should be released to the web next week, assuming no testing issues are encountered.
Britt
I performed a software update on CCS 5.5.0 running in Ubuntu. The update fails, producing an Invalid Install message. The error message requests files which are attached.
I am able to repeat this by re-installing a clean version of CCS 5.5.0 for linux, then Checking for Updates.
After the update fails further attempts to launch CCS produce the following message:
Thanks,

JohnS,
I want to modify the .out file before it is loaded on the target.
Is there a way to find out the project path from which the file is being loaded?
Thank you for the explanation.
Hello,
The customer can try defining the chip number in the build properties. See the below thread for more details:

Thanks
But when i try xds220iso i cant because i didnt find any option to select emulators. What is the solution fort his problem?
You can identify multiple XDS200 emulators by I/O Port Number instead of serial number. Try using '0' and '1' for the XDS200.
