Forum Post: image analyzer - zoom functionality & data inspection cursor & workspace reload

i tried using zoom (single axis, both axis) in image analyzer but i were not able to produce any noticeable effect at all.

it looked like the whole feature is totally dis-functional. i tried +/- buttons with some mouse drag on the image, the [x] button and drop down menu aside to it.

even i could not make use of that feature right now i feel like up scaling in both axis is a fine thing.

up-scaling on individual factors for each axis could be fine as well - but i am unsure right now if i can set e.g. x to 2x and y to 8x at the same time. the user interface

another effect in that area is that i once had a cursor for image data inspection (coordinates and value under mouse pointer). did i have a cross hair cursor? dont know right now. - later insight: analyzer windows that are opened with the workspace are broken until they get overloaded by a manual window creation. with the the cross hair cursor apears. - its probably a bug in CCS not doing it right as its expected to be done.

it would be nice if cursor key control for this crosshair is added. - that would be a helpful feature.

when working with the crosshair in zoom mode the values reported have an offset. even if the cursor is about centered on the pixel it can be the case that the pixel right or below (or both) of the pixel in question is reported in the status line.

the status line (testing this in RGB mode) does report two values when the mask is set to e.g. 0x7F. it seems one value is the value as read from the memory after the masking. and the second is the left-aligned bit pattern, in the sample case probably a "<<2" operation. sample: "(73,18) RGB: (18 18 18) RGB: (9 9 9)". its hard to say which RGB triple is which triple as the labels are the same. only a comparison for what is bigger will explain it. this might easily lead to faults in manual data inspection cases. - how about an altered prefix like "RGB-display" & "RGB-memory" to distinguish them? BTW i am not sure if anybody wants the image data to be intensity scaled up to the full range or even some folks would like to use an alternate scale up factor.

this feature is simply gone and does not re-appear to me regardless what i am doing now.

maybe something broke in the workspace i am using and thus gets reloaded any time i start CCS again with that workspace.

on the other hand the current settings of the image analyzer windows will not re-appear when i restart CCS. i am only getting un-named analyzer windows with blank properties.

at present i can not even set new names for the individual analyzer tabs.

at some moment i even had the impression that the very first image analyzer tab had more features or appeared different than the 2nd and further ones.

when having a freshly opened existing workspace with already three image analyzers open and then using the menu for opening more such windows it happens that the parameters of the first, second, third... analyzer will be cleared to empty for every time i am opening an analyzer via the menu.
