Is your source file really C++ or are you using GCC-style C extensions?
I am not really sure. The source all have .c extensions, not .cpp. How can I find out? All the source files I'm working with are taken from the PER test software that's preinstalled on the TrxEB boards and can be found here: http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/swrc219

All I know is that the IDE files are for IAR. I have downloaded the free kickstarter version now of IAR to see if it's easier to work with,
What version of the compiler are you using
Can it be any of these:

  C/C++ GCC Cross Compiler Support 1.1.0.201209170703

  MSP430 Compiler Tools 4.2.3

  C/C++ Development Platform8.1.1.201209170703

I am using CCS v5.5.0.00077. I am not looking at the ASM from the IAR project, I'm just trying to get familiar with all the functions used to set up the registers on the CC1120 and to get it to send some packets.

Also, I was finally able to build the project after altering all the "for" statements such that the variable is declared outside the loop. I was finally able to use the lcd functions to display custom stuff, now I am moving on to modifying the meny system and hopefully finally getting into the radio functions.

Is there any chance there exists a user manual or some documentation  on how to tweak this example code? I mean, it's well commented and all, it's just a bit overwhelming at the moment for a newbie  I need to use these radios for my M.Sc thesis work, but I am pretty much a novice to MCU programming.

Thanks again, any help is appreciated.
