Can you share more information about the licensing issue you are seeing?
In CCS5.5, did you already add your license information back into the Licensing Information dialog? You can access this dialog by going to the menu "Help -> Code Composer Studio Licensing Information". Under the "Manager" tab, you can add your license information here (either license file, or server information).
Also, do you know why the 90-day license was activated? Did you activate it in CCS5.5, or was it activated previously?
