Forum Post: RE: ccs5 installation with Windows 8

Hey,

I've been trying to install CCS v5.5 for the last days unsuccessfully.

I would love to get your help with that because I ran out of ideas...

I did the following:

(1) Downloaded the zip file "CCS5.5.0.00077_win32"

(2) Launched "ccs_setup_5.5.0.00077.exe" in Windows 7 compatibility mode

I keep getting the following message when I start the setup - "We have detected that you may be running McAfee..." although I uninstalled MaCafee a while ago...

When I press OK (knowing that it shouldn't be a problem if I have the big installation on my hard drive) I get the following message whenever I get to "Installing eclipserepo.zip" line:
