  Thanks for the link.  I had seen that during my searching, but I must have missed the "Properties -> General" comment.  Under CCS v5.5 it is "Properties -> CCS General -> Advanced settings -> Compiler version".  Still, it is not crystal clear that the variable CG_TOOL_CL is equal to this setting.  Also, I wish it has listed out the full path and not just "TI v4.2.1".

 How can you give partial credit?  This answers the first question, but still need info on the second one.
