This issue was resolved offline. The issue was with a known bug in the debug server that comes with CCSv5.5. Updating the debug server will resolve the issue. To do this:
- Start CCS, and go to Help -> Install new software
- In the “Work with” edit box at the top, enter http://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/non-esd/debugserver/55
- Select the “TI Debug Server Update for CCSv5.5” box.
- Optionally: to speed the install up, you can uncheck the “Contact all update sites during the install to find required software” box
- Click through the install questions and let CCS restart. This should install DS version 5.5.0.487
